We are pleased to announce that on 23 January 2015 the agreement concerning the construction, supply, and installation of a new pipe organ for the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice was signed with ANTON ŠKRABL S.P. The pipe organ designed for the auditorium will be used for both concert and didactic purposes. It will have 25 voices, 2 manuals and one pedal. Its musical aesthetics will draw on classical-romantic organs. It will be used both for solo performances of romantic and contemporary music, for accompaniment provided for bands and solo performers, and for the performance of oratorios. The design of the organ will match the architecture and acoustics of the concert hall.

The organ will be installed in the Bolesław Szabelski Auditorium by 31 December 2015 and in February 2016 it will undergo intonation and tuning.
